Driving
Escaleras del Pacifico is located in the area of Escaleras just 9km south of Dominical. The entrance to our development via the Costanera del Sur is located directly across the highway from Hotel Cuna de Angel and short drive up the hill. Just follow our signs!
If you are driving from San José you have two options: The coastal route and the mountain route. The coastal route, which will take you through Atenas, Jaco, Quepos and then Dominical, will take approximately 4 hours. The last 45km of this road, from Quepos to Dominical is quite bumpy and unpaved. However work has already commenced on roads and bridges and once the road is complete it will cut this drive by an hour! The pavement starts again in Dominical and is in perfect condition.
The mountain route is a scenic drive that takes you over the mountains to San Isidro de General and then on down to Dominical. The entire way is paved and will take you approximately 4 hours.

Flying
If you choose to fly down you will enjoy an extremely scenic 40 minute flight over the mountains and along the coastline. The two airlines to choose from are Sansa & Nature Air. The Sansa airport is located right next to the international SJO airport. Nature Air’s airport is located in Pavas, just 30 minutes from the international airport. You will need to book your flight departing from San Jose and arriving in Palmar Sur and there is one morning flight per day with each airline. Escaleras is just 45 minutes north of Palmar Sur.
